Gorvins was featured in the Daily Mail this week, speaking about the deceptive ways in which a vendor may conceal problems with a home that might hinder a sale.

“The problem is that while issues such as subsidence or visible damp may be detected by a chartered surveyor, there are still many things that a canny vendor can do to cover up a problem”

The article goes on to list the more common ‘red flags’ a home buyer should beware of, such as; the smell of wet paint indicating damp or cracks may have been concealed, furniture or picture frames in unnecessary or unconventional places potentially covering damages to floors/walls and windows being left open even on a cold day to hide ventilation issues.
