Do you offer legal aid funding?
Unfortunately Gorvins do not offer any legal aid funding or options. If you wish to use Gorvins to represent you in your case you will need to pay your fees privately or secure alternative funding. If you have home or motor insurance and your insurance policy covers you for legal expenses, then your insurer may agree to pay your legal expenses under the terms of your policy. If you are a member of a trade union, your membership may entitle you to payment of legal fees.
Does Gorvins Solicitors offer free consultations?
We offer free consultations on all eligible cases. When you first enquire our expert team will discuss your circumstances and if possible put you through to the relevant solicitor at your first point of contact.
How much will my legal fees be?
This all depends on the complexity of your case. Before we start your case we will establish what your fees will be so you will have an idea of what you will be paying before we start.
Which areas of the UK do you provide legal services in?
Our main office is based in Stockport, however do not let that stop you from using Gorvins. We can act for clients across the UK and pride ourselves on being able to offer this service to all our clients. You can contact us by phone, e-mail or letter and we are always available to speak to.
What areas of law do Gorvins offer?
We are a full service law firm which means we offer a full range of legal services split between business and private client. Our business legal services include: corporate and commercial law, commercial litigation, commercial property, insolvency and bankruptcy, employment law and debt recovery.
Our private client services include personal injury, family law, employment law, wills, trusts and probate and will and estate disputes.
What are your hours of opening?
Our offices are open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Our main telephone switchboard is open during the same hours. You can contact us 24 hours a day by e-mail and where possible we will always endeavour to respond to you within 8 hours of your initial contact.
Do you have parking facilities?
Yes we are able to offer parking to our clients however during peak times this can be limited. Parking is available at the front of our offices in bays 8 – 11. If these are full there is pay and display parking on the street directly in front of our offices at Dale House.
Do you offer fixed fees?
This depends on your case and the complexity of the work involved. For will writing and powers of attorney, some divorce, employment law and debt recovery services we are pleased to offer fixed fee prices.
Can I change from my current solicitors to you?
Yes. If you are unhappy with your current solicitor or feel you are not getting the service you deserve, please feel free to contact us and we will discuss how to transfer your existing case over to us.
