Stockport-based Gorvins Solicitors has strengthened its commercial property team with the appointment of David Butler as a partner.
David joined the firm from Addleshaw Goddard, bringing extensive experience advising institutional investors, developers and retail clients on complex property transactions.
As well as advising on acquisitions and disposals, commercial lettings, portfolio management and development, he also brings specialist expertise in the living and energy sectors. This includes build-to-rent acquisitions, alongside the roll-out of rooftop solar and electric vehicle charging across property portfolios.
Gorvins has a well-established commercial property team and David’s appointment will add depth to the team, strengthening its ability to support more clients with their portfolios.
David said: “Gorvins has a great reputation across the North West and it’s a pleasure to be a part of the team, helping the firm serve its strong client base long into the future.
“I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues on a wide range of transactions and bringing my experience in the living and energy sectors to the firm’s clients.”
Mark Deverell, Managing Partner at Gorvins, said: “David’s decision to join us from strong and recognised international firm speaks to the strength of our commercial property practice and the opportunities we offer experienced lawyers to help shape its future.
“David brings with him valuable experience of complex transactions, alongside specialist knowledge in build to rent and renewable energy. That combination will be a real asset to our clients and colleagues, and we’re pleased to welcome him to the team.”
