Gorvins Act for MediaCityUK in Kellogg’s Move

MediaCityUK continues to play a pivotal role in the growth of industry across the North West with news that Kellogg’s will move its UK headquarters there early next year.

The global cereal brand, which has been based at its head office in Old Trafford since the 1990s, will take three floors (50,000 sq. ft.) in the prestigious Orange Tower.  Kellogg’s historic Trafford Park factory will not be affected by the move.

MediaCityUK is a joint venture between Peel Land and Property Group and Legal and General Capital.

Martin Hoare, Managing Partner and Head of Commercial Property at Gorvins Solicitors, handled all the legal work on behalf of MediaCityUK. He said that the Kellogg`s move reflected the rapid and successful expansion of the development, which includes the BBC, ITV, Ericsson and Dock10, as well as more than 250 smaller creative and digital businesses.

With 7,000 people now living, working and studying at MediaCityUK, further development is already underway with 238 apartments in The Lightbox due for completion in 2019. In the meantime, by the end of the summer, two new restaurants will open their doors at MediaCityUK – The Botanist and The Alchemist.
