throughout the North of England (and providing tailor-made training
to these institutions).
Michael is involved in:
- Enforcement of leasing and hire purchase agreements
- Debt and asset recovery
- Consumer credit regulatory/compliance issues
- Finance house litigation
- Obtaining injunctions, civil fraud and claims relating to
guarantees
- Defending clients in respect of Health & Safety Executive
prosecutions
- Regulatory issues
Michael's recent work has included:
- Redrafting a suite of commercial lending documentation to
reflect recent changes in law relating to Consumer Credit
regulations
- Recovery of assets subject to a finance agreement, where goods
were kept in sites throughout the UK and the hirer entered into
administration
- Protecting a client's intellectual property and goodwill in a
business name and trading style, when both were adopted by other
enterprises to the detriment of the client
