Hot Stuff!

FREE Employment Law Breakfast Seminar

No, our Head of Employment is not going to be trying to wow the crowd with his own "Full Monty" (perish the thought) ... employment law itself appears to be Hot Stuff these days.

Barely a day goes by without an employment law story or development filling column inches in the national press. The Government are clearly intent on changing the employment law landscape in the UK, not least in an effort to encourage private sector employer confidence. But what is the reality behind the rhetoric?

Based on recent headlines ...

... Will employers really be able to have difficult conversations with difficult employees (so-called "protected conversations") without fear of reprisal?

... Will the increase in the qualifying service period for a standard claim of unfair dismissal from one year to two years really make any difference to the number of claims faced by employers?

... Are we ever going to see changes to such complex and confusing rules as TUPE and how to deal with holiday pay for long term absentees?

... Amidst all the politics, on the front line of dealing with staff, what should employers really be looking out for on the employment law horizon?

At the latest of our breakfast seminars, the Gorvins Employment Team intend to answer all of these questions and more.

At the seminar, we will not only seek to demystify everything that the Government are currently doing or saying that they are doing with employment law, but also ensure that you are fully up to date with the latest changes, such as redundancy and statutory pay rates and family friendly policies.

The seminar may also see our very own Mr Bygot serve his community sentence and offer his pearls of wisdom about the changing landscape.

All in all, our seminar should leave you fully informed about what is going on in the employment law world, enabling you to be prepared for the changes that we are likely to see in the year ahead and properly understand the news stories that will continue to make employment law truly "Hot Stuff" for the foreseeable future.

Please book on line to secure your place.

We look forward to seeing you!
