100 Days for Stockport

Gorvins is donating 100 working days over the next 12 months to help good causes in and around the Stockport area.

The initiative is managed by a nomination process and encourages Stockport residents - individuals, voluntary organisations, statutory bodies and businesses - to nominate a worthy project they would like to see carried out.

Project criteria

A project must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Benefit the local community
  • Be located within Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council area or be within 15 miles or Gorvins office (SK1 1TA)
  • Support Gorvins value and principles
  • Not take paid work from others
  • No one must make a profit form the work

Please note the funding of projects will not be considered.

Application guidelines

1.                  How can I apply?

To submit an application, visit the Gorvins website at 100 Days for Stockport download and complete the application form and then email back to 100days@gorvins.com or post to 100 Days, Gorvins Solicitors, Dale House. Tiviot Dale, Stockport, Cheshire SK1 1TA or register online here.

2.                  Who can apply?

Individuals, community groups, voluntary groups, self-help groups, community charities, local branches of national charities, and statutory bodies such as schools can apply.

3.                  What types of things can I apply for?

All deserving causes will be considered, providing that it is feasible for Gorvins people to be involved. It can be anything from reading in schools, helping the elderly with their weekly shop, painting a youth centre or mucking in at an animal centre. 

4.                  Who makes the decision of what project is selected?

A '100 Days for Stockport' committee made up of people from Gorvins will meet and decide on applications. They work across different areas of the business and have a shared interested in helping good causes and great local knowledge. The committee meetings are held monthly.            

5.                  How long does it take to make a decision?

You will be contacted within one month from the date of application as to whether your project has been selected.
